Congratulations to Brian Peterson for his successful black belt demonstration on April 4th, 2008. Brian demonstrated strong technique using pressure points, empty hands and tan-bong. Sparring and a self-defense Round Robin rounded out the test with an excellent sacrifice throw at the end.

Over the July 4th holiday, Springfield instructor David Barbero was promoted in Heuk Choo Kwan Hap Ki Do. Now 2nd Dan Black Belt, Mr. Barbero is a fully certified instructor of this style of Hap Ki Do. Mr. Barbero tested under the HCK founder, Grandmaster Ron Suggs, 9th Dan.
